What is Juvederm?

Juvéderm is one of the most popular filler brands on the market. It is composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the skin. The purpose of Juvéderm is to sculpt and augment areas of the face that are lacking volume. It is most often used to improve fine lines, nasolabial folds, cheek bone structure, jawline definition, lip fullness; and overall helps to replenish volume loss.

What is the RHA Filler Collection?

PERK plastic surgery is among the first to offer the much anticipated RHA Filler Collection––an award winning, FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler collection intentionally designed to address dynamic wrinkles and folds, and resilient enough to adapt to your facial movement. Since its launch, the RHA Filler Collection has been a patient favorite at our office for smoothing and rejuvenating lipstick lines, necklace lines, nasolabial folds, under eye hollows and more!

The RHA Filler Collection is intentionally manufactured and preserved to mimic the chemical structure of the hyaluronic acid naturally found in our skin. As opposed to Juvéderm and Restylane technology, RHA dermal fillers are designed to integrate with the skin tissues for a softer, more natural look and feel, and each formulation is clinically proven to last up to 15 months.

What is Restylane?

Restylane is another type of dermal filler. Similar to Juvéderm and the RHA Filler Collection, Restylane fillers are also made up of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like the natural HA produced by your body. The goal of Restylane is to plump up the skin and restore volume where it is deficient. PERK offers the entire Restylane family of fillers such as Lyft, Defyne, Refyne, Restylane, and Kysse. Common uses for Restylane are to improve deep set lines and nasolabial folds, build cheek bones, increase lip fullness, and replenish volume loss.

What will my recovery be like?

Some minor swelling, tenderness and bruising are common after an injection, but these symptoms will resolve quickly. You will be able to return to your normal activities, but take care to avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for at least 24 hours.
