What is a thread lift?

As we age, our face simultaneously loses volume and droops. For those not quite ready yet for a surgical face lift, a noninvasive thread lift may be the perfect option for immediate rejuvenation! The thread lift is designed to gently lift sagging facial tissue by using temporary, dissolvable sutures with tiny cones that suspend the sagging tissue.

Unlike a laser treatment, the interaction of the device’s nitrogen plasma with your skin tissue is what is termed “non–chromophore dependent.” This means that in skin smoothing and tightening, it does not rely upon interacting with chromophores, the part of a molecule that gives it its color.

When strategically placed, the threads subtly lift the skin and produce a gradual regenerative effect on the face as the sutures dissolve, stimulating your body to produce more collagen. You’ll notice a subtle improvement in both skin quality and texture. Commonly performed to lift a sagging brow, or soften jowls and nasolabial folds, a thread lift can achieve long-lasting and beautiful results that you will be proud to show off.

What areas can be treated with a thread lift?

The areas most commonly treated with a thread lift are:

  • Forehead
  • Brow
  • Lower and upper cheek
  • Jawline
  • Neck and décolletage

“Dr. Lee is amazing! I love my results, and she made my whole experience very pleasant. She's very personable and makes you feel welcomed in her office. Her professionalism, focus on details, and willingness to listen made my visit awesome. I highly recommend her.”

What are the benefits of a thread lift?

A thread lift can be an effective way to lift sagging brows, soften facial jowls, or contour the cheek, jawline or neckline. Additional benefits of the thread lift include:

  • No incisions required
  • Minimal downtime (recovery)
  • It is a quick in-office procedure performed under local anesthesia only
  • The sutures placed are safe and absorbable
  • Long lasting results

Am I a candidate for a thread lift?

The ideal Thread Lift candidate wants to avoid a surgical procedure but wishes to correct drooping facial tissue. Best for patients between 30-50 years of age with mild skin laxity, this procedure is ideal for patients who are not quite ready for a surgical face lift.

Patients over the age of 50 or with significant drooping tissue or excess skin will benefit more from a facelift.
