Dolly takes it on the chin
Plastic surgery nightmare is ruining her looks, fans say
From the GLOBE
DOLLY PARTON’s quest to stay young through seemingly endless rounds of plastic surgery has left her fans complaining the Backwoods Barbie looks “grotesque” and almost unrecognizable!
As you can see in the shocking photo at far right, the 63-year-old country queen now sports a bizarre pointy chin that juts out like an iceberg. Some medical experts call it “a witch’s chin deformity.”

And fans have another name for her look – “Disaster!”
But Parton proudly owns up to her nip and tuck passion, insisting she merely wants to look her best for legions of admirers.
“Why should I look like an old barnyard dog if I don’t have to?” she says.
But she admits to pushing the limit.
“If I have one more face-lift, I’ll have a beard,” she cracks.
Now a lot of people believe she’s had one too many procedures already.
“What Dolly has done to herself is bewildering to her fans,” say a longtime Nashville insider, who has worked with Parton.
“It’s like she had such little self-confidence she thought her fans wouldn’t forgive her for growing old. But there was nothing to forgive – they were looking forward to growing old with her.
“Now, you can barely tell she’s Dolly any longer. With all that plastic surgery, she’s like a caricature of who she used to be. And what’s with that chin?”
Experts are also left shaking their heads.
“It looks like she’s had a chin augmentation that was seriously overdone,” says noted cosmetic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn.
“Some surgeons call it a witch’s chin deformity. The good thing is that the implant can be easily taken out to rid her of the Jay Leno look.”
Dr. Richard Fleming, a Beverly Hills plastic surgery specialist, concurs.
“Her chin projects too far forward,” he says.
“It’s not proportional to the rest of her jawline and facial features.”
Fans, and even Parton herself, have long compared her to legendary movie star Mae West, who maintained a bawdy, sexpot image right up until her death in 1980 at age 87.
But a show business veteran notes one big difference.
“Mae West looked like Mae West until the day she died,” says the showbiz vet.
“I’ve known Dolly since the 1970s and I don’t even recognize her any longer.”
Another source adds, “She’s done herself a disservice, as both an artist and a woman. She has written and sung some of the most classic country music songs of all time, but she’s turned herself into a sideshow. Even her loyal fans talk more about how she looks than what she’s accomplished.
“And it’s so needless. Her fans are the most accepting in the universe. There was no need to alter her appearance so drastically.”
Fans hope Parton will stop before she does any more damage.
“The lady turns 64 in January,” says the source.
“I mean, just let it be! Michael Jackson ruined what he had as an artist by changing his appearance so drastically he barely looked human. Dolly is doing the same thing.
“The saddest thing is wondering what might have been. I can’t tell you how many die-hard Dolly Parton fans have told me, ‘Do you know what she would look like today if she hadn’t done a thing to herself? Absolutely beautiful!’”
